Don’t look at what you lost, but look at what you have left. What you have is enough. One of my favorite illustrations is about a woman who saw the ocean for the first time and said, “Thank God for something in which there is enough.” In the south we say, “Enuff.” The Lord told Paul, “My grace is sufficient (enuff) for thee.” (II Cor. 12:9). Enuff means that His grace is and always will be sufficient for your need. His amazing unmerited, unearned, unexhaustible and underserved grace will always be enuff. His grace remains unchanged and unlimited as it never diminishes or decreases. His amazing grace is enuff. Thank God…You have enuff health to enjoy another day. You have enuff wealth to support your needs. You have enuff strength for another day. You have enuff experience to learn from mistakes, and start again. You have enuff patience to know that this tragedy too shall pass. You have enuff charity to help those in need. You have enuff love to share with others. You have enuff faith to believe in God even when you do not understand. You have enuff contentment to be satisfied with such things as you have. Realize that the best things in life is not things, but people. You have enuff hope to know the best is yet to come. You have enuff wisdom to know that God is working all things together for your good, and His glory. You have enuff gratitude to be thankful in and for all things. You have enuff joy this day to rejoice and be glad in it. You have enuff friends to know they will be “there” when needed. You have enuff family to build many “more” good memories. You have enuff life to make the days ahead the best you have ever known. You have enuff breath to praise the Lord for the great things He hath done. Don’t look at what you have lost, but be thankful for what is left. Be content with what you have. Contentment is a choice. So choose to be thankful. Thank God because what you have is enuff. This Thanksgiving “think,” then “thank” God for His many blessings and daily benefits. “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (I Thess. 5:18). Thanksgiving is giving thanks. Be thankful because what you have is enuff! Happy Thanksgiving!
