Nicole Condra – Testimony

Nicole Condra’s Testimony

God allowed me the opportunity of growing up with missionary parents who worked with the Deaf stateside and in foreign countries, for which I praise the Lord!

At four years of age, I accepted Christ as my Savior. It was the love of Christ, and what He did on the cross, that fascinated me. What an amazing love, that Christ would take me as His own, cleanse me from all sin, and give me everlasting life!

In 2004, after graduating from high school, I was asked to serve as a home office missionary with Silent Word Ministries (Trenton, Georgia). This I did for six years. During that time, I completed a three-year Bible school program and served in a local church ministry, interpreting in a deaf ministry and leading a Reformers Unanimous ladies’ group.

In 2009 and 2010, I joined Silent Word Ministries International teams for mass evangelism at the World Deaf Olympics in Taiwan and also at the SWMI outreach at DeafNation in the USA. A good number of Deaf were saved at each event!

Also, in 2010, I felt God leading me to take a survey trip to the country of Romania. I met many deaf people and shared a burden for deaf ministry with lay people, national pastors, and missionaries in local churches. It was on these mission trips that God increased my burden to see deaf people on foreign fields reached for Christ.

Upon returning to the States in 2011, I attended Baptist Bible Translators’ Institute in Bowie, Texas. There, I completed a nine-month missionary training program, which covered linguistics, cultural anthropology, and Bible translation. In 2012, I trained and served as a summer missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Eastern Pennsylvania working with inner-city kids in Philadelphia.

In the fall of 2012, I was accepted as a full-time missionary with Silent Word Ministries International. I am now in pre-field ministry, doing deputation to return to Romania. It is my desire to reach the Deaf for Christ and to train national laborers for ministry with the Deaf. Please partner with me in this mission endeavor.

I am grateful for all the Lord has done in my life and look forward to continuing my service for Him in Europe!
