Children's Letters to God

Dear God, In church they told us what you do. Who does it when you are on vacation? - Jane. Dear God, Are you really invisible or is that just a trick? - Lucy. Dear God, Did you mean for the giraffe to look that way or way it an accident? - Norma. Dear God, Instead of letting people die and making new ones, why don't you keep the ones you have now? - Jane. Dear God, Who draws the lines around the countries? - Nan. Dear God, Thank you for the baby brother, but what I prayed for was a puppy! - Joyce. Dear God, It rained while we were on vacation and my father said some bad things about you. Please don't hurt him? - Your Friend. Dear God, Why do we go to school on Sunday? I thought it was a day of rest. - Tom. Dear God, If you will give me a genie lamp, I will give you one of the wishes. Raphael. Dear God, I want to be just like my dad when I grow up but not with so much hair all over. - Sam. Dear God, I bet it is hard for you to love all the people in the world. There are only four in our family and I can never do it - Nan. Dear God, Look for me in church and I will show you my new shoes. - Mickey. Dear God, I read that Thomas Edison made light, but in Sunday School they said you did. Did he steal your idea? - Donna. Dear God, Why does the preacher ask for money three times every Sunday? - Ed. Dear God, If you are everywhere and invisible, are you the one who opens the doors at the stores? - Leah.

"And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer (permit) the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein" (Mark 10:13-15).

A child has no problem believing in God and the Bible. If a person would put away their past lifestyles, traditions, and self-will, become as a child they could have more faith in God. The Lord says, "As a little child." Are you willing to have the great faith of a little child? [TGC]

THOT: Great faith starts small.

TODAY: Ask the Lord to give you greater faith. Be willing to receive the faith He gives you.
