Read: I Peter 5:6 - 11

He Cares For You

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" -- I Peter 5:7.

There are times in the life of a Christian when it is hard to smile. Bad things can happen to good Christians. The burdens and trouble at times may seem very heavy but the Christian has someone to help carry the load.

A Christian does not need to fall under the cares of life. He has someone who is always with him and cares. The eyes of the Lord never sleep. His ears are never closed. His arms never tire and His love never fails. Any hour the Lord is there. Any place, He is with you. The unsaved person has no help or hope but the Christian can cast his care upon the Lord.

The word "cast" means the same as when the disciples "cast" their coats upon the colt (young horse) and the colt walked away with the clothing (Mark 11:7). The Christian needs to "cast" their cares upon the Lord and let Him take them away. The Lord can help you with any trouble. The Bible does not name the troubles because the Lord wants every Christian to cast his individual troubles whatever it might be upon Him...because He cares for you.

The Lord cares for you as:

A father for his child...providingly -- Romans 8:35.

A mother for her baby...caringly -- Isaiah 49:15.

A farmer for his garden...attentatively -- Isaiah 27:3.

A friend for a friend...faithfully -- Proverbs 17:17.

A shepherd for his flock...watchfully --- Psalm 121:4-8.

A husband for his wife...lovingly -- Ephesians 5:25.

Cast all your cares upon the Lord...He cares for you.

[TGC]

THOT: The Lord will help you...if you will let Him!

TODAY: If you have a care, cast it upon Jesus.
