Read Psalm 90:9 - 12
Number Our Days
"So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom" -- Psalm 90:12.
"The days of our years are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years...it is soon cut off, and we fly away"--Psalm 90:10.
Number your days of life. One score is 20 years, so the verse would read...The days of our years are 60 years and 10 years which would be 70 years. Then fourscore years would be 80 years. The average life according to this verse is threescore and ten years which equals 70 years.
The Bible states that we should number our days. Consider how many days are passed and how many days could be ahead. Of course, we do not have the promise of one day, but on the average a person will live 70 years.
Number your days. If you have a calculator, you can take your age in years times 365 days and see how many days you have already lived. Then count how many days you have until you are 70. Each day is important.
The day has 24 hours; the hour has 60 minutes; the minute has 60 seconds. The average life is 70 years which is 25,550 days, which is 613,200 hours, which is 367,920,000 minutes, which is 22,075,200,000 seconds.
Every time a second passes it is one less second we have to live. Seconds make minutes, minutes make hours, hours make days and days make years.
It only takes a few seconds to help or hurt someone. In a few seconds a life can be ruined. In a few seconds a person can be saved and his life is changed forever. [TGC]
THOT: Live each day so that you will not be ashamed of yesterday or afraid of tomorrow.
TODAY: Make this an important day--it could be your last.
